Dr. Yassin is a dual trained dentist in both Periodontics and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
He attained his dental degree in 2001 from Aleppo University before receiving 4 years of extensive Oral and Maxillofacial training at Damascus Hospital! His specialty training in periodontology, along with his Master of Science in oral science was attained from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA.
Dr. Yassin is a Fellow of the International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Diplomat of the German Board of Oral Implantology DGZI. He has several publications and articles in refereed and in peer-reviewed journals; he also serves as a reviewer in many academic journals.
Dr. Yassin holds a teaching position at the University of Washington as an affiliate clinical assistant professor. He is also the Program Director and founder of the Implantology program of the Washington Academy of General Dentistry since 2018, in addition he actively lectures at national and international conferences and symposiums on the subject of implants and advanced esthetics/periodontal plastic surgery, in addition to rigorous online courses and webinars. He has a private practice limited to periodontics, oral surgery, and implant dentistry in Seattle, Washington.
Nathan Doyel
DDS
Dr. Doyel is a Fellow with the AAID and Diplomate with the ABOI/ID which symbolizes the highest level of competence in implant dentistry. He is also a leader in the 3D CAD/CAM dentistry and enjoys mentoring other dentists and sharing his knowledge with them. In addition to lecturing and in order to facilitate his passion for dental education, he is the founder of Dental Surgical Camps and hosts several camps for other doctors to attend throughout the year.
Dr Doyel also has extensive training in sinus lifts, bone augmentation, bone expansion & grafts, guided surgery, periodontics, periodontal therapy, gum grafts, and laser therapy. He specializes in other areas of general dentistry as well including endodontics or root canal therapy, full mouth reconstruction as he calls “New Smile in a Day”, and sleep apnea oral appliance therapy.
Scott Froum
DDS
Dr. Scott H. Froum is a Board certified periodontist who received his BA from Amherst College in Amherst, MA. He received his DDS from the State University of New York Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine where he graduated with honors. He continued his dental training in the post graduate periodontal department at the State University of New York Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and received his periodontal certificate. He currently is a clinical associate professor at SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in the Department of Periodontics. He is chief editor of the Perio-Implant Advisory. He has lectured on the national and international level on implant therapy, bone and gum regeneration, and complications.
Timothy A. Hess
DDS, MAGD
Dr. Hess is a graduate of the University of Alberta and completed his DDS degree from the University of Washington in 1994. He is an Affiliate Assistant Professor in Restorative Dentistry, Affiliate Faculty in Oral Medicine and the Director of the Tucker Institute at the UW School of Dentistry. He currently lectures on implant failures due to restorative techniques, operative techniques, zirconia restorations as well as facial aesthetics including the topics of Botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. Dr. Hess also maintains a private practice in Auburn, Washington.
Dr. Hess has been published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, IJOMI, CJRDP, Decisions in Dentistry and Operative Dentistry. He has presented at the ADA Annual Meeting, the AGD Annual Meeting, Pacific Northwest Dental Conference, International Academy of Gnathology, Pacific Coast Society of Prosthodontics and the Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics.
He is a Past-President of the Seattle-King County Dental Society. Dr. Hess is a Member of Academy of Operative Dentistry, a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, Pierre Fauchard Academy, American College of Dentist and has received his Life Long Service Recognition from the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a Member of the International Academy of Gnathology and an Active Member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry.
John A. Hodges
DDS
Dr. Hodges began restoring dental implants in 2001. He is extensively trained in implant surgery, implant restoration, and the lab processes associated with building your restoration. Dr. John Hodges has restored over 125 full-arch “All-On-4” fixed implant bridges. He lectures nationally for Nobel Biocare and Neoss on “All-On-4” restorations. Dr. Hodges has a reputation as a skilled and compassionate doctor, and he is honored to have been selected to Seattle Metropolitan’s “Top Dentists” three years in a row by his peers.
Experience
Dr. John Hodges graduated from the University of Southern California Dental School in 1993. He served in the U. S. Navy Dental Corps at Pearl Harbor for 3 years before relocating to Washington. While in the Navy, Dr. Hodges was honored to work part-time at CILHI (Central Identification Lab, HI) identifying the remains of MIA’s from Vietnam, Korea, and WWII. Dr. Hodges has placed and restored over 2,000 dental implants. Utilizing technology to improve your comfort and treatment success is very important to him. He is constantly attending continuing education covering all aspects of dental implant care, from surgery and restoration to lab processes and CAD technology. In fact, he is one of only a few dentists certified as a Nobel Biocare CAD technician in Washington State. He completed the one year fellowship program at the California Implant Institute and he is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Hodges is renowned for his ability to plan successful dental implant treatments and to trouble shoot and fix problems with existing dental implants. He serves as a mentor and consultant to doctors and dental labs throughout the West Coast.
Steven Karmy
DDS, FAGD
Dr. Karmy is a graduate of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. After dental school Dr. Karmy stayed in Loma Linda to complete a residency in dental anesthesiology. A continual “CE Junkie” – Dr Karmy is a big fan of the Washington Academy of General Dentistry. Some advanced training highlights include Kois Center Graduate, AAID Maxi Course, and Implant Pathway. He has fellowships in the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is ever so close to the elusive Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. He maintains an anesthesia practice and works with his wife in their dental practice providing comprehensive dental care.
Michi Katafuchi
DDS, PhD, MSD
Dr. Michi Katafuchi was born and raised in Nagasaki, Japan. He graduated in 2003 from Dental School in Fukuoka, Japan, where he received the Dentsply Honor Student Award for Dentistry.
From 2003-2007, Dr. Katafuchi pursued his Ph.D. thesis both at the Department of Prosthodontics at Fukuoka Dental Collage as well as The Dental Research Center of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
After receiving his Ph.D., Dr. Katafuchi joined the faculty at the Department of Prosthodontics of his alma mater in Fukuoka, where he taught the next generations of dentists and maintained his private faculty practice until 2013.
Dr. Katafuchi completed his postdoctoral training in Periodontics / Implants at the University of Washington in Seattle. He has authored several articles on bone biology and dental implants and has been invited to present in national and international meetings such as;

Recently, he was invited to China where he shared his knowledge of computer-guided surgery with fellow colleagues in the East. This presentation and cooperation lead to the idea of forming an international Study Circle. Locally, he has taught at the University of Washington and continues to donate his time to the Dental School as an affiliate faculty member.
Richard Miron
DDS, MSc, PhD
Dr. Richard Miron is currently lead educator and researcher at Advanced PRF Education and an Adjunct Visiting Faculty in the department of Periodontology in Bern, Switzerland where he completed his PhD studies since 2009. He has currently published over 300 peer-reviewed articles and lectures internationally on many topics relating to growth factors, bone biomaterials and guided bone regeneration. For the past 4 years, Dr. Miron has been recognized by Dentistry Today as being one of the top 100 CE providers in the country and the youngest to ever make the list. He is also the top ranked researcher on Platelet-Rich Fibrin therapy as per Expertscape independent review. He has recently been awarded many recent international prizes in dentistry and is widely considered as one of the top contributors to implant dentistry having won the ITI Andre Schroeder Prize, the IADR Young Investigator of the Year in the field of Implant Dentistry as well as the IADR Socransky Research award in the field of Periodontology (2020). He has written 6 textbooks widely distributed in regenerative dentistry including his best-seller in 2019 titled: “Next Generation Biomaterials for Bone and Periodontal Regeneration” and “Understanding Platelet Rich Fibrin” in 2021.

Dr. Nguyen is an expert at taking care of his patients. He loves his work and is determined to make each patient raving fans.
His goal is to provide quality services for his patients to achieve long term good dental health. He believes healthy and beautiful smiles can be possible with regularly scheduled appointments and proper preventive dental care. Dr. Nguyen is trained in the most advanced techniques. Dr. Nguyen features CEREC CAD/CAM porcelain crowns in one appointment. He is both a beta tester for this amazing technology and an instructor for certifying new doctors as well as teaching advance certification. Dr. Nguyen continues to advance our available care by providing dental implant surgery and restoration here in our office. He was one of the first general dentists in Washington State to be certified with Invisalign. He was awarded the “Invisalign Innovator” award in 2003, “Top 100 Invisalign Dentist in the Country” in 2002-4, and is the first general dentist to be awarded Premier Status with Invisalign. Previous to this, he had completed a two year orthodontic course sponsored by the Academy of General Practice Orthodontics.
Dr. Nguyen holds a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) representing the highest honors a members can achieve. He has also been awarded the distinction of Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologist (FICOI).
Dr. Dzon Nguyen received his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. He is an active member of the Seattle King County Dental Society, The Washington State Dental Association, The American Dental Association, and The Academy of General Dentistry.
He enjoys skiing, snowboarding, wake boarding, wake surfing road and mountain biking with his college sweetheart and their three girls.
Justin Poulson

Dr. Poulson has been in dentistry since childhood. Working as a dental assistant for his father and working as a researcher at Gordon Christensen’s Clinicians Report. Dr Poulson is a graduate of the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry. Since graduation he has been consuming knowledge gained from textbooks, journals, continuing education, and colleagues. Dr Poulson is a graduate of the Implantology from A to Z program. He received his Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. He owns a private practice in Montana where he lives with his wife and two children.
Paul Rosen
DMD, MS, PC
Dr. Paul Rosen maintains full-time private practices in both Yardley, Pennsylvania and New York, New York limited to periodontics, surgical implant placement and regenerative therapy. He also has appointments as Clinical Professor of Periodontics at the University of Maryland Dental School and Adjunct Professor at James Cook University Dental School in Cairns, Australia. Dr. Rosen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and has served as an Examiner for the oral examination of the Board. He has served on a number of committees for the American Academy of Periodontology including chairing a task force that has authored a white paper titled, “Peri-Implant Mucositis and Peri-Implantitis: A Current Understanding of Their Diagnoses and Clinical Implications” which appeared in April, 2014 in the Journal of Periodontology. He is a reviewer for and serves on the editorial advisory boards for a number of dental journals. Dr. Rosen has authored/co-authored a number of articles on periodontal regeneration, implants and interrelated orthodontic-periodontal care and lectured both nationally and internationally on the subjects of dental implants and regeneration for both teeth and dental implants.
Dr. Rosen is honored to have been awarded a number of prestigious awards including the American Academy of Periodontology’s Master Clinician Award in 2015, the Northeastern Society of Periodontists Isidor Hirschfeld Award for Clinical Excellence in 2016, and the Distinguished Alumnus Award for Professional Achievement from the University of Maryland Dental School in 2020.

Robert J. Timothy
DDS, MS
After graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry, Dr. Timothy joined the US Army dental corps and completed an AEGD one-year residency in general dentistry. After fulfilling his 3-year commitment, he returned to the Intermountain West and practiced in the southeast Idaho town of Montpelier. After 19 years in private practice, he returned to the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry to study Oral Maxillofacial Radiology. Dr. Timothy currently has a private practice in oral radiology and is a part-time clinical instructor at the University of Utah School of Dentistry. Dr. Timothy is a fellow of the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Radiology.
Michael Yeh

Dr. Michael Yeh D.D.S., M.S.D., P.S. is recognized for his excellent comprehensive restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry.
Dr. Yeh is the only Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology / Implant Dentistry in King County, WA. The Diplomate status symbolizes the highest level of competence in Implant Dentistry which is obtained through a rigorous examination process.
He is a Certified Prosthodontist – a specialist who has successfully completed an additional three year advanced program in prosthodontics and implant dentistry that provides him the added expertise to diagnose, and treat the most complex dental problems. He completed his prosthodontic residency and received his Specialty Certificate in Prosthodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry Degree (M.S.D.) from the Graduate Prosthodontic Program at University of Washington.
Homa H. Zadeh

Dr. Zadeh is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Surgery. He has served as tenured associate professor, Director of the post-doctoral periodontology (2012 to 2019), as well as Chair of Periodontology Section (2003-2006) at USC Ostrow School of Dentistry. Dr. Zadeh graduated from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) with a BS degree, followed by Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from USC Ostrow School of Dentistry. He completed post-doctoral clinical training in periodontology, as well as a PhD degree in immunology, at the University of Connecticut Health Center (UCHC) School of Dental Medicine and School of Medicine, respectively. Dr. Zadeh has lectured nationally and internationally in over 30 countries at prestigious conferences on topics ranging from aesthetics to minimally invasive periodontal and implant surgery, as well as tissue engineering.Dr Zadeh served as president of the Western Society of Periodontology (WSP) in 2017, which is the largest regional periodontology society spanning the 16 western US states and Canadian provinces.
Dr Zadeh is the innovator of the VISTA technique recognized around the world as one of the most effective methods for the treatment of gum recession. He has also innovated many concepts and devices, which have been patented and developed into products in clinical use in many countries.
Dr. Zadeh has directed the Laboratory for Immunoregulation and Tissue Engineering (LITE) at USC, which is a scientific research group dedicated to studying basic mechanisms to regulate bone and tissue regeneration and destruction under healthy and disease states, as well as conducting clinical trials of dental implant outcomes. He has an extensive publication track, including over 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals and numerous book chapters. He serves as an editorial reviewer for many scientific journals.
He served as a chartered scientific reviewer to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and chaired a scientific panel at the NIH Center for Scientific Review. Dr. Zadeh has served as the director of USC International Periodontal and Implant Symposium. Dr. Zadeh is the recipient of many honors and awards, including outstanding teaching award and outstanding service award from USC Ostrow School of Dentistry and many research grants.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Western Society of Periodontology (WSP), California Society of Periodontists (CSP), American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (AAED), Academy of Osseointegration (AO), American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), San Fernando Valley Dental Association (SFVDA) and Santa Barbara Ventura Dental Association (SBVDA).
