Koerner Center Continuum 3: 3-Day Live Patient Treatment Course

The Koerner Center for Surgical Instruction was founded by Dr. Karl Koerner, a general dentist who has been educating his peers on dental surgery for more than 25 years. Throughout his career as a clinician, author, and educator, Dr. Koerner recognized the need for a truly comprehensive oral surgery training program geared toward general dentists.

Location: Washington AGD Educational Center, 19415 International Blvd, #410, SeaTac, WA 98188

Tuition: $5,000 Dentist, Lunch is included for all three days (not included Airfare, Hotel nor Ground Transportation) Limited to 6 dentists participates.

Target Audience: Dentists both in state and out of state may attend this course. Proof of Malpractice Insurance and Dental License must be submitted upon completion of registration.

Prerequisites:

Successful completion of:

  • Continuum 1 and Continuum 2, or
  • Approval of qualification by Dr. Koerner

If participants have not completed Continuum 1 (24 CE hours including 8 hours online and 16 hours hands-on with models and pigs jaws) then they will be required to watch 8 hours of surgery training (with testing) prior to participating in this event.

Description:

Participate in Continuum 3, a 3-Day live patient clinical course. This is an in-depth, hands-on experience with “surgical extractions” and related other dentoalveolar procedures. Guaranteed to increase your comfort level. Cases treated will be according to the needs of local patients.
This patient-treatment course allows doctors to do many difficult, “surgical” extractions. All surgeries are done with personal instruction from experienced clinicians who enjoy teaching and sharing ideas and techniques gained from years of doing hard extractions themselves. There will be a few cases of socket preservation.

Additional Information:

  • This course does not cover placement of Dental Implants. For doctors interested in Implantology Programs, please visit the Washington AGD website for more information on the Implantology A-Z program with Dr. Alan Yassin.
  • Patients will be provided by the IBEW77 as apart of the Washington AGD Humanitarian Events at the Educational Center.
  • Personal supervision and instruction from Dr. Karl Koerner and Dr. Nick Parque, KCSI Faculty
  • 2 dentist participants work together, alternating as operator or assistant
  • Case review beforehand
  • Case critique following treatment
  • Patient evaluation, clinically and radiographically
