Morning Program: Introduction to Scanning, Printing, & Mounting to The Panadent Articulator
Speaker: Dr. Timothy Hess
Date: December 9th, 2022
Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM PT
Scanning and printing of 3D models have become part of many dentists’ workflow. Currently, most dentists are basing up and printing stl flies with model and die resin, then mounting with traditional plaster. This mounting requires use of facebow and bite registration techniques.
Progress is being made to mount these STL files to articulators without the use of plaster. The Kois Digital Transfer Adapter has been designed to allow mounting to the Panadent articulator. We will present steps involved in using the Kois Digital Transfer Adapter and discuss positive points and challenges of using this digital workflow.
- Discuss scanning and printing models.
- Explain the use of Meshmixer to prepare, print, and allow STL files to be used with the Panadent articulator.
- Introduce participants to the Panadent Kois Digital Transfer Adapter.
- FREE for Renewed 2023 Washington AGD Members
- FREE for PNGSC Members
