Dentistry has always been a challenging profession that balances art and science. Unfortunately, four years of dental school just scratches the surface of a dentist’s educational needs. The WashingtonAGD firmly believes that the dentist needs to be a lifelong learner. COVID-19 has exacerbated the challenges of educating the next generation of dentists. This will create obstacles for not only the “new associate” but also the experienced “practice mentor”.

This continuum is designed to help bridge the education & experience gap between the experienced practicing dentist and their associate. Through webinars and “hands-on” educational events, the WashingtonAGD will attempt to create a forum to discuss challenges and bridge gaps that can create tension between the owner dentist and their associate. The goal is to open dialogue between doctors and facilitate hands-on courses to align treatment philosophies and harmonize approaches of day to day dental procedures.
