Dr. Brookshire was born and raised in rural Ventura County among the coastal citrus orchards of California. After earning a B.S. degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara, Dr. Brookshire attended and graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1993.
Following dental school, Dr. Brookshire headed North to Alaska to take on the challenges of solo practice ownership in the island community of Prince of Wales. Serving the dental needs of this small, tight knit community has been a true joy for both himself and his family.
Dr. Brookshire is a graduate of the Implantology from A-Z Program. His professional associations include the American Dental Association (ADA), Alaska Dental Society (ADS), and American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).
In his free time, he enjoys stream fishing, competitive shooting sports along with Alpine Hunting and Upland game bird hunting.
Kenneth J. Howard
Dr. Ken Howard was born and raised in the Tri-Cities and graduated from Kamiakin High in 1990. He furthered his education at CBC, then transferred and graduated from Washington State University in 1996. He received degrees in Biology and Microbiology, with a minor in Molecular Biology. In 1996 he was accepted to Howard University’s School of Dentistry, in Washington D.C., graduating in the top of his class.
Dr. Howard’s passion was to start a family practice, because he enjoys interacting with everyone, from the young to the elderly. Dr. Howard didn’t have to think twice about where he would want to set up his practice. The Columbia Basin has a lot to offer. It allows his family to partake in camping, fishing, skiing, hunting, and hiking activities, some only a short drive away.
Dr. Howard and his staff have discovered that the key to having a strong practice is treating patients as if they were family. They enjoy helping all generations of families maintain a healthy dental lifestyle in a caring environment.
Lynn Jones earned her DDS and BS in Dental Hygiene from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. She is an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AAACD), the first accredited female dentist in Washington State. She has served on the AACD Board of Directors and as an accreditation examiner. Dr. Jones is also a graduate of the Kois Program. She is also certified in IV sedation and has had over 1000 hours of implant education.
Dr. Jones has been published in many professional journals and has served as the accreditation section editor in the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry. She was the founder and director of Aesthetic Continuums for Dentists at the University of Washington where her lectures focused on smile design, occlusion, practice management and cosmetic reconstructions.
Dr. Jones maintained a private practice in Bellevue Washington and currently practices at Optima Dental Spa in Bellevue Washington with an emphasis on implants and cosmetic reconstructions.
Dr. Karmy is a graduate of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. After dental school Dr. Karmy stayed in Loma Linda to complete a residency in dental anesthesiology. A continual “CE Junkie” – Dr Karmy is a big fan of the Washington Academy of General Dentistry. Some advanced training highlights include Kois Center Graduate, AAID Maxi Course, and Implant Pathway. He has fellowships in the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is ever so close to the elusive Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. He maintains an anesthesia practice and works with his wife in their dental practice providing comprehensive dental care.
Dr. Prasith Kim-Aun was born in Cambodia and raised in France and Germany. He studied dentistry at the University of Berlin and earned his DDS degree at the University of Ulm (both in Germany). After a time in private practice in Germany, his desire to broaden his scope of dentistry led him to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia where he attended the PASS program (Program for Advanced Standing Students) that is tailored to foreign-trained dentists. He eventually earned his DMD degree from this program and conveyed his knowledge as a PASS course instructor to other PASS doctors before he moved to Washington State. After serving underprivileged patients in community health clinics, he opened his own private practice with his wife who is also a dentist.
His implant education includes training at the Southern California Academy of General Dentistry, the Engle Institute, the AIC (Advanced Dental Implant Research and Education Center), and the “Clinical Implantology A-Z” course at the Washington AGD. So far, he has clocked in over 500 hours of implant-related continuing education and is one of the faculty members of the “Implantology A-Z” course since 2020.
In his spare time, Dr. P. enjoys airsoft, soccer, movies, and the adventures of fatherhood to his two beautiful daughters.
His professional associations include the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. McEntire is from Western Montana where his family operated a dairy farm. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah and is a graduate of the University of Washington Dental School.
Dr. McEntire has gained extensive experience in all aspects of general dentistry through education and service. After graduating from dental school, he served in the U.S. Public Health Service on the Navajo Nation in New Mexico. He has been in private practice since 1994.
Dr. McEntire has achieved Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry and is a graduate of the Implantology from A-to-Z Program. He is also trained in moderate IV sedation.

Dr. Najar received his master’s degree in Dentistry along with two years of residency training in Operative Dentistry from Indiana University and his Master of Science degree in Orthodontics from the International Medical College, Munster, Germany.
Dr. Najar is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, and an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Najar is a past Clinical Assistant Professor of Restorative Dentistry at Indiana University School of Dentistry. He has lectured nationally and internationally. He has a couple of private dental practices limited to implant dentistry, orthodontics, and full mouth rehab in Bellingham and Mount Vernon, WA.
Javid F. Osafi
Dr. Javid Osafi studied dentistry at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas graduating valedictorian of his class with Magna Cum Laude Honors and pursued specialty training at the University of Denver, Colorado for an additional 2 years in pediatric and hospital dentistry. He also completed a one year continuum in surgical and implant dentistry at the Trinon Collegium Practicum where he has served as a clinical instructor helping dentists learn Implant & surgical dentistry. He has performed extensive research on oral cancer and has published several articles in renowned journals regarding the topic. He has received awards in oral and maxillofacial pathology, orthodontics and oral surgery and was inducted into the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon for his contribution to excellence in the field of dentistry. Dr. Osafi performs complex full mouth dental implant, surgical and prosthetic procedures in his private practice in South Seattle using digital dentistry and is able to create timeless restorations with utmost precision in aesthetics and function from start to finish in one facility. He currently practices with 3 of his closest dental colleagues in one location. In his free time he enjoys hiking, water activities and spending time travelling with his family.
Dr. Nicholas Parque is a general dentist who works in private practice in the Auburn, Washington. He has also maintained hospital privileges at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington where he serves as at attending dentist for the Swedish Medical Center General Practice Residency.
Dr. Parque completed his dental school training at the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan and had a special interest in surgical training completing the Periodontics Clerkship and Advanced Oral Surgery Clinical Elective programs. Following the completion of his dental training, Dr. Parque completed a General Practice Residency Program at Swedish Medical Center with special focus on advanced oral surgical procedures, sedation dentistry, and management of medically complex patients. During his residency training he also obtained Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification as well as his Intravenous Moderate Conscious Sedation Permit in the state of Washington. Since the completion of his residency training, Dr. Parque has served as an attending dentist within the Swedish residency program and has trained over two dozen resident dentists on advanced oral surgical procedures. He has a passion for teaching and helping others learn to deliver excellent surgical care.
Dr. Parque is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, and plans to earn his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in the summer of 2022. Dr. Parque serves on the Board of Directors for the Washington Academy of General Dentistry and has served as clinical faculty for several hands-on courses on oral surgery and neurotoxin therapy at the WAGD.
Parque also holds active membership in the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and Seattle-King County Dental Society.
In his free time, Dr. Parque enjoys spending time at home with his wife, Tara, and dog, Wrigley. He is an avid cyclist, having completed the Seattle to Portland bike ride twice, and enjoys other outdoor activities such as running, swimming, and golf.

Dr. Perlman’s goal is to educate his patients by demonstrating how their oral health relates to overall body wellness. In doing so, he hopes to enable his patients to take control of their health. He works closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure his patients receive high-quality, comprehensive interdisciplinary care.
Dr. Perlman views dentistry as an art he gets to practice daily. He uses his extensive educational and training background with the latest technology to bridge art and science together. He believes in building personal and professional relationships while dissipating dental phobias through trust, caring sensitivity, warmth, and sincerity. By helping improve the oral health in the community, he hopes to improve people’s overall quality of life, starting with a comfortable, healthy, and aesthetic smile.
Dr. Perlman loves dentistry and has continuously pursued education after receiving his doctorate degree. In particular, he trains at the L.D. Pankey Institute and at Spear Education, which are both recognized worldwide for excellence in advanced technical dentistry. He is also a member of a Seattle/Tacoma study club and is in training to become part of the faculty at the Pankey Institute, which focuses on treating patients with complex dental needs, including TMJ Disorder and obstructive sleep apnea. Dr. Perlman has complete mastery training in dental sleep medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Perlman has a passion for surgery and has completed a Clinical Implantology Residency with the Washington Academy of General Dentistry and is now a visiting faculty member for the program!
Dr. Poulson has been in dentistry since childhood. Working as a dental assistant for his father and working as a researcher at Gordon Christensen’s Clinicians Report. Dr Poulson is a graduate of the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry. Since graduation he has been consuming knowledge gained from textbooks, journals, continuing education, and colleagues. Dr Poulson is a graduate of the Implantology from A to Z program. He received his Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. He owns a private practice in Montana where he lives with his wife and two children.
Dr. Christopher Shyue completed his training at the University of Washington School of Dentistry (UWSoD). While in school, he received introductory implantology training and developed his surgical skills through surgical periodontics and advanced oral surgery courses, as well as two externships and many service learning trips. Under the guidance of Dr. Layla Yassin, he placed his first dental implant as a fourth year student. After dental school, he worked as a general dentist at Columbia Valley Community Health in Wenatchee before joining his wife, Dr. Christine Wu, in their practice in Snoqualmie.
With Dr. Alan Yassin’s Clinical Implantology from A to Z course, Dr. Shyue underwent intensive learning about dental implantology and retraining of his surgical skills, with special emphasis on proper treatment planning, improved surgical techniques, and soft tissue management. Dr. Shyue is proud to be a graduate of Washington AGD’s Clinical Implantology from A to Z course, and believes that he has become a better clinician under Dr. Alan Yassin’s rigorous training. Dr. Shyue has completed over 400 CE hours about dental implants, including Implant Seminar’s Virtual Continuum.
Dr. Christopher Shyue is actively involved in the local dental community. He is a member of Seattle-King County Dental Society’s Executive Council, an Affiliate Faculty at the UWSoD, an Associate Faculty at Shoreline Community College Dental Hygiene Program, and a Contract Dentist with the Washington State Department of Children, Youth & Families.
Dr. Christine Wu graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. Dr. Wu worked in a private dental practice in North Seattle before becoming a practice owner in Snoqualmie, WA. She now works with her husband, Dr. Christopher Shyue.
Dr. Wu is an Affiliate Faculty at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. She is a graduate of the Implantology from A-Z Program and is a member of Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and Seattle-King County Dental Society.
