Presented by T.A. Hess, DDS, MAGD and David T. Palmer, J.D., Regulatory Counsel

Description:

On January 11, 2024, the new Washington dental regulations went into effect, impacting nearly every single dentist in the Evergreen state. We’ve heard from many of you that it’s hard to know which regulations apply to you and which don’t – and how to comply with the ones that do. That’s where this webinar comes in.

Join the Washington Academy of General Dentistry and DOCS Education on June 11th at 6pm Pacific for Untangling Washington’s New Dental Regulations.

Moderated by Dr. T.A. Hess, DDS, MAGD, Director of Education for the Washington AGD, and presented by David T. Palmer, Esq., Regulatory Counsel of DOCS Education, this program will be a comprehensive, deep dive into what regulatory changes were made and how they affect you.

Some of the topics discussed will include:

  1. If you provide any type of anesthesia (including topical) in your practice, you and your team are now required to document medical emergency training and have access to an AED or defibrillator.
  2. Sedation permits have new maintenance requirements, including specialized monitoring training for your team, documented medical emergency training 2x per year, and new timetables for earning and applying CE credits.
  3. If you sedate children with moderate oral or IV sedation, by January 1, 2025, you will be required to have a pediatric endorsement.
